During the interview, Houser reflected upon the Hot Coffee controversy, which led to an investigation by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and an inquiry from the U.S. Government. According to Houser, he wouldn’t have been able to deal with the situation if it weren’t for the strong bond between him and his brother Sam.

I’m really lucky. I don’t think it would’ve been possible if we didn’t have each other. To survive in that situation without someone than you could trust – that would’ve been very difficult.

What’s the Hot Coffee controversy really about? In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, there was supposed to be a mini-game called Hot Coffee, which allowed CJ to engage in ******* activity with his girlfriend. What’s really shocking about this mini-game is that players were able to control the entire activity rather than just watching everything happen.

As you’d expect, Rockstar Games chose not to include the feature. However, modders later uncovered the incomplete code and assets of the hidden feature within the game’s files. They made the feature playable and even brought a number of additional commands.

There was a lot of backlash against the community mod, and Congress eventually demanded a full FTC investigation into Rockstar Games. As a result, the FTC questioned Houser, and the studio’s emails were also examined. Seriously, who could have imagined such a mod leading to an FTC investigation?

has revealed that Rockstar was previously considering bringing a port of Max Payne 3. However, it’s now either been shelved or postponed. Previously, Tez2 revealed that someone at the studio had hinted at a GTA 4 port, and the original plans from the pandemic era were to release a Max Payne 3 port as a follow-up.

However, following the release of the controversial Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy, it looks like Rockstar has scaled back its plans. Tez2 doesn’t know if the studio is still developing a Max Payne 3 port, and gamers might never see the project.
