Rainbow Six Siege X Could Use Operator Synergy Combos Like Marvel Rivals Team-Ups

Rainbow Six Siege X is all about being tactical and having coordinated teamwork. But with a new era incoming, some new-generation mechanics could have been added too, like the Team-Ups system from Marvel Rivals.

Don’t get this wrong, teamwork is essential in Siege, and some abilities have to be coordinated well. It’s just diving into the possibility of Operators getting certain bonuses when they use their abilities together with others.

Moreover, the mechanics can only apply to the new gamemode, Dual Front. Keep such overpowered strategies away from competitive play, and make the new permanent game mode more attractive. So, how will that work out? That’s what we are going to talk about.

What if Rainbow Six Siege X adds the Marvel Rivals Team-Ups mechanics to the equation for Dual Front?

If you know about Dual Front, it’s more of a lore-based game mode that will be ever-evolving in Rainbow Six Siege X. It might not attract Core Siege players, but if it had some other additional features, it could be an interesting mode. The idea of Attacker and Defender Operators getting to team up is great, but what if it’s more arcadey?

Let’s take Mozzie and Echo, Mozzie has the ability to hack attacker drones in Core Siege. Since Dual Front doesn’t have any labeled operators, he can technically take over Echo’s Yokai Drones of opponents. But it still isn’t quite reaching the potential for Marvel Rivals‘ Team-Ups mechanics.

How about seeing things from a lore perspective? Some folks like Finka and Tachanka, in certain ways. What if her Nano-Bot healing could give the Lord some extra health, as a minor bonus? Or what if Thatcher and Dokkaebi can work together? Maybe Dokkaebi can use Thatcher’s EMP tech to disable operators by calling them? That’s too far…

Either way, since Dual Front is more of a lore-based game mode, it can use extra benefits. For now, it doesn’t attract many players as many prefer Core Siege; that’s how it has always been. If players need to run and gun, they’d play some other game, but the game of Rainbow Six Siege X doesn’t quite support it. Still a possibility worth hoping for.

Why will the feature never see the light of day in the game?

While the idea of Marvel Rivals Team-Ups abilities in Siege X sounds cool as a concept, it doesn’t make sense. For example, Siege players have been more coordinated than any shooter around. For example, if a Thermite player chooses to breach a wall, they have to coordinate with operators like Kali or Thatcher to avoid getting bandit-tricked.

Sens alone cannot be optimal alone; if Glaz is added to the equation, it makes for a powerful combo. While the idea might not be as premium as the Team-Ups mechanics in Marvel Rivals, Siege has always had it. The game is incomplete without teaming up, as some operators alone are simply useless.

There was a time when lore was a part of game mechanics; it might be there in Rainbow Six Siege X, but there was a time before. For example, Zofia could pick herself up after being knocked down and be affected less by Ela’s Grizmot mines. But it was removed due to balancing issues, and it’s better to stay that way.
