Builds also come equipped with multiple mechanics, of which the Mana Shield is very likely the best (and often, underrated) mechanic in the game right now. The ability can be best described as overpowered, and negates damage by a certain degree, allowing you to survive for longer and potentially win any difficult battles.

In short, Mana Shield allows for a portion of the enemy’s damage to be split into your Mana pool. For example, a 25% Mana Shield means that 25% of the received damage will be transferred onto your Mana bar, instead of being wholly absorbed by your HP bar.

As is quite obvious, this ability is most certainly cracked, and can come in handy in clutch situations. At 100% Mana Shield, your Mana meter becomes a shield of sorts.

Taking damage will eat away at your Mana bar, which can be replenished over time, essentially making for a regenerating shield. When combined with potions, armor, and skills, this can make for a deadly build that renders one near-immortal.

Given the ability’s overpowered nature, it might only be a matter of time before the developers patch it out or introduce some countermeasures to make it less effective.

A core part of The Fall of Avalon (like any good RPG) is in its build varieties. Players are free to experiment and try out whatever build they so desire, as long as it is actually effective in slaughtering enemies.

There’s plenty of build variety here, and tons of stats, weaponry, and armor to equip. As a general rule of thumb, try pairing similar attributes together for better results. Additionally, make sure to keep an eye out for your base stats, which should also determine your playstyle.

Players can choose between a glass cannon build (which sacrifices defense for strength/mobility) and a tank build, which achieves the opposite (enhanced strength over mobility).

Alternatively, it is also possible to build a more balanced setup, which sacrifices neither attribute for mediocre stats and damage output.
