An Emma Frost and a Venom Emote Are Going To be Seriously Spammed

Marvel Rivals’ Season 2.5 update hasn’t even officially launched yet, but we can already tell that this upcoming Emma Frost skin is going to take over the game. The mid-season update is going to come with a Combat Chest mini-pass on May 30, and the new Make It Rain emote for Emma Frost is part of the first free tier.

And what we want to see is Emma Frost making it rain while Venom does his infamous twerk. These emotes are equal parts absurd and iconic, and we can see them becoming the most spammed in-game animations since Marvel Rivals launched, and fans seem both ready and willing to do just that.

The Emma Frost Make It Rain emote has already gone viral before its May 30 release date. If you haven’t seen it yet, it shows the White Queen standing confidently while showering dollar bills in all directions. And in a game already known for exotic cosmetics and meme-worthy emotes, this one fits like a designer glove.

Before you ask, yes, it’s completely free. As part of the Combat Chest mini-pass for Season 2.5, you’ll be able to unlock this emote simply by progressing through the reward tiers without spending a dime. All you have to do is grind a bit of XP, and Emma Frost will soon be making it rain across Marvel Rivals. But there’s something else that we need to see.

The emote will undoubtedly be spammed across Doom matches, especially by players pairing it with the now-legendary Venom twerk. Of course, Venom’s twerk emote is no stranger to attention. Released in early April during the Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure event, Venom’s Symbiote Boogie twerk emote is also the exact type of ridiculousness and carnage that we love.

The visual pairing of Emma Frost making it rain and Venom’s twerk is something we’re already thinking about. “Venom twerk emote, dagger slapping, Emma making it rain while Luna DJ’s is about to be a messssss,” one user joked. Another user said, “Time to do this in a Doom match with Venom.” You can always expect the Marvel Rivals community to cook up the craziest stuff.

This new emote is part of the Season 2.5 Combat Chest, a limited-time mini-battle pass that will feature new skins, emotes, sprays, and collectibles. Aside from Emma’s new emote, the Combat Chest includes rewards like Storm’s Ultimate Wind-Rider outfit and Magneto’s Binary Sword set. Of course, like all passes, it will have a paid and free tier. Luckily for us, the emote is free.

Beyond cosmetics, Season 2.5 is also bringing in big changes in the gameplay side of things with Ultron joining the list of playable characters. As the game’s newest Strategist character, he will bring some much-needed support to the support class. There will also be six new Team-Up combos for us to try.

If there’s one thing that these emotes and cosmetics tell us, it’s that these emotes prove that NetEase understands its audience. It doesn’t matter if you’re in it for the competition or the sheer chaos of Venom twerking while Emma Frost makes it rain; the developers know what they’re doing.
