Fallout 5 Won’t Hit Hard If Todd Howard Doesn’t Bring the Weirdest New Vegas Weapon Into the Game

The Fallout franchise has defined the RPG genre, and Fallout 5 is likely to continue that tradition. There’s going to be even more eyes on this particular entry, as Prime Video’s Fallout show has brought a newer generation of fans to the post-apocalyptic universe.

Will Fallout 5 be a guaranteed success? Considering Bethesda’s recent failures and lack of innovation, no one can say for sure. However, Todd Howard and his team can make a generational hit only if they bring one of the weirdest weapons from the critically acclaimed Fallout: New Vegas.

Fallout 5 won’t be complete without this ridiculous weapon

If you’re looking to survive against the threats of the nuclear Wasteland, it’s crucial to equip the right weapons and armor. The Fallout series has offered players a number of unique firearm options that match different playstyles and roles. Weapons are really the cornerstone of this post-apocalyptic experience.

However, there’s one bizarre weapon in the Fallout franchise that’ll make you question the sanity of developers: the K9000 Cyberdog Gun. Obsidian Entertainment in Fallout: New Vegas presented players with this unique weapon, which integrates a rapid-fire machine gun with a canine brain. That’s right, it’s a weapon that blends man’s best friend with massacring.

The barking of a real Cyberdog will accompany every shot you fire with this weapon. The K9000 Cyberdog Gun might be adorable for some, but creepy for others. It has small ears and will growl at enemies if they dare to approach you. There’s even a slight aim assist by the good little boy inside this weapon.

The K9000 Cyberdog perfectly captures the spirit of Fallout games, and it’s everything that fans love about the series. Let’s hope Howard and his team can once again bring this mix of canine companionship and chaos to Fallout 5. Fans across social media channels are begging to see this weapon make a return, and it would be a shame if such an interesting weapon never returns.

A new update on Fallout 5‘s release is disappointing

We all know that Bethesda is currently focusing on the development of The Elder Scrolls 6. It’s reported that the RPG will be released sometime between 2026 -2028. This means that the studio isn’t focusing on Fallout 5 as of now. If the post-apocalyptic game is in pre-production, it’s likely far away from hitting the shelves.

However, reputable Xbox insider

has given more information on the release date for Fallout 5. According to him, the game is still five to six years away. The earliest it can drop will be in 2030 or 2031. This timeframe can be pushed back if Elder Scrolls 6 suffers from development issues, which isn’t that uncommon in modern game development.

Eastwood states that Bethesda is open to the idea of giving the keys to the Fallout franchise to another studio, but in a limited way. There’s supposed to be a Fallout 4 spin-off in the works by Obsidian Entertainment, but Bethesda isn’t ready to give the same treatment to the core series.

With that said, would you like to see any other weird weapon from the post-apocalyptic series added to Fallout 5? Let us know in the comments below.
