Forde reached 50 in 16 deliveries, matching the feat set by South Africa’s De Villiers in 2015, and struck eight sixes and two fours in a 19-ball 58 as West Indies racked up 8-352 off their 50 overs on Friday. Keacy Carty had earlier hit 13 fours and a maximum on his way to a relatively-sedate 102 off 109 deliveries and with skipper Shai Hope and Justin Greaves chipping in with 49 and 44 not out respectively, the tourists notched a hefty total. Liam McCarthy was the pick of Ireland’s bowlers, taking three for 66, while namesake Barry McCarthy and Josh Little took two wickets each. Rain forced the second ODI in the series to be abandoned after a two-hour delay. Ireland lead the series 1-0 after their 124-run win on Wednesday, with the two sides set to meet again at Clontarf in the final match on Sunday.
