Police hunt armed robber who held up Greenwood Kingsley Super Deli on Cockman Road with sword

Police are hunting an armed bandit who held up a deli and threatened staff in Perth’s north.

The incident unfolded when the man went into the Greenwood Kingsley Super Deli on Cockman Road in Greenwood, threatening staff with a sword before fleeing with cash about 7.45am on Friday.

“A male person entered a deli on Cockman Road, produced a sword and threatened staff before making off with a sum of cash,” a police spokesman said.

“The person is described as being aged in their mid to late teens, of medium build, with a dark complexion and may be riding an e-scooter.

“If sighted, do not approach this person and contact police urgently on triple-0.”

Police resources have been deployed to the area.
