Now Playing: DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH – State of Play Announce Trailer

The latest State of Play took place in April, focused on Borderlands 4. Before that, there was a 45-minute State of Play event in February featuring the debut of Ghost of Yotei. There was no State of Play or Showcase event in June 2024, but Sony did hold a State of Play in May 2024 that showed off the ill-fated live-service game Concord and God of War Ragnarok for PC.

While Sony’s plans for a summer showcase remain unknown, we do know that there will be more than a dozen summertime gaming events, including the recent Warhammer Skulls showcase. For more, check out GameSpot’s full summer game conference schedule rundown to find out what’s happening when.

The next big PlayStation exclusive is Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which releases in late June. After that comes Ghost of Yotei in October.
