Monster Train 2 Is Now Available on PC and Consoles

2025 hasn’t been kind to our free time, with worthwhile titles launching nearly every week. Now, Shiny Shoe has joined the party with the release of Monster Train 2 across all major platforms. There’s no early access here. You can dive into the full game right now.

If you played the original, you’ll feel right at home, but Monster Train 2 has plenty of new cards up its sleeve, and not just new units. The game now features room and equipment cards, which can be used during a run to reinforce your units and dramatically alter the floor you’re on.

There’s also an endless mode for the hardcore players, but suffice to say, you’re looking at hundreds of hours of rogue-lite goodness here if you want to see everything the game has to offer. Finally, there’s also a story that advances as you do more runs and make progress through the many challenges of keeping the Pyre protected.
