Despite being a turn-based game, the French studio behind the hit has surprisingly incorporated some combat mechanics you don’t usually get to see in this genre of games, including being able to dodge and parry. Furthermore, the level of difficulty also links directly with the storyline of the game.

For example, an end-level boss, which is supposed to drop great rewards and has been hyped up as someone powerful, will need to have a way more powerful moveset than any other enemy in the game. Hence, the heightened difficulty of this one particular boss leads the player to realizing why exactly why that boss is placed at the top of a supposed enemy hierarchy scale in the game.
