Greece ends 6th in Eurovision 2025

Greece finished sixth in the 69th Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday night with the song “Asteromata,” performed by 22-year-old Klavdia.

Greece received 105 points from national juries, including top scores from Cyprus, Australia, Israel and Montenegro. Televoting added 126 points, boosting Greece into the top six with 231 points in total.

The lyrics of “Asteromata” were inspired by the genocide and displacement of the Pontus Greeks by the Ottomans in the beginning of the 20th century.

What an irony and hypocrisy that Israel gave 12 points to Asteromata, when over 400 people were killed in Gaza in the last 24 hours and Israel insists in exterminating the ************ population.

A Greek user ironically noted on a tweet: “Israel gave Greece 12 points because they thought Klavdias’ song was in favor of the Pontus Greeks genocide.
