Donald Trump, Taylor Swift feud: President says singer ‘not hot’, tells Bruce Springsteen to keep ‘mouth shut’

US President Donald Trump has added fuel to his unusual beef with music superstar Taylor Swift, saying she is no longer “hot”, while also lashing out at iconic singer Bruce Springsteen, calling him a “dried out prune”.

The feud has somewhat of an unusual backstory.

During Mr Trump’s presidential campaign in 2024, he posted AI generated images of Taylor Swift and and added comments and hashtags including “Swifties for Trump”.

Shortly after the AI images were shared, videos started to surface of Mr Trump’s supporters discussing how Swift was a fan of the president, seemingly unaware that there was actually no support.

Shortly after, almost immediately after the first debate between former Vice President Kamala Harris and Mr Trump, Swift spoke out and endorsed the Democrat presidential nominee.

“Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight,” the singer wrote before asking her followers to do their research before deciding who to vote for.

“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site.

“It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter.

“The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election.

“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”

That didn’t sit well with Mr Trump, who took to social media, using capital letters to say “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”

Mr Trump later said that Swift would “pay the price” for sharing her Democrat views.

After going somewhat quiet on the feud, Mr Trump has reopened it claiming Swift is no longer “hot”, claiming responsibility for her, in his opinion, demise.

“Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer “HOT?” Mr Trump wrote on Truth Social.

It wasn’t just Swift that Mr Trump wanted to call out through, also hitting out at US singer Bruce Springsteen.

“I see that highly overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a foreign country to speak badly about the President of the United States,” Mr Trump wrote in a second post.

“Never liked him, never liked his music, or his radical left politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy — just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our country.

“If I wasn’t elected, it would have been GONE by now!

“Sleepy Joe didn’t have a clue as to what he was doing, but Springsteen is ‘dumb as a rock,’ and couldn’t see what was going on, or could he (which is even worse!)?

“This dried out ‘prune’ of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the country, that’s just ‘standard fare’.

“Then we’ll all see how it goes for him!”

Mr Trump’s post comes after Springsteen said the US President was “unfit for office”.

“In my home, the America I love — the America I’ve written about that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years — is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration,” he said at a concert in Manchester, ***.
