Is Elden Ring Nightreign Coming to PlayStation Plus? Likelihood Explored

With its release date inching closer every single day, fans of Elden Ring Nightreign have been going out looking for some answers that FromSoftware hasn’t really bothered to answer yet. And while most of them revolve around what will happen in-game, a few have been asking if we might get to see the title being added to the PlayStation Plus catalogue.

This has caused many eyes to move around, including ours, searching for answers that aren’t really written out anywhere, which is already a bad start. Here is why we believe Elden Ring Nightreign might, or might not, line up soon to be added to Sony’s special offerings library.

Will Elden Ring Nightreign be making its way onto PlayStation Plus?

Just like its (arguably) better counterpart, Xbox Game Pass, Sony’s PlayStation Plus must have been eyeing to score more titles to offer its subscribers. Unfortunately, due to no official announcement from either FromSoftware or the game’s publishing studio Bandai Namco, the most fair assumption right now would be to assume Elden Ring Nightreign is not coming on any of these subscription services right now.

While we looked for any hint that the studios might have shared to tease the game coming on PlayStation Plus, the lack of it only proves otherwise. It also seems believable because, apart from Bloodborne, a Souls game exclusively available on Sony’s platform, no FromSoftware title seems to be offered to players in the subscription catalog.

Elden Ring Nightreign, in a nutshell, is FromSoftware’s gamble, as the studio is venturing out to try new genres and see what might work for them. Moreover, while it could have just ensured the title’s stable success by partnering up with either of the major subscription service-based gaming models, it commendably goes out on a limb to retain all rights and have a more direct sales connection with the players.

Are you one of those gamers who like to roam around The Lands Between, slaying bosses with their friends thanks to summoning features and maybe even the seamless co-op mod? Then Elden Ring Nightreign is more than perfect for you.

This upcoming FromSoftware multiplayer game is a co-operative survival game in which a group of three friends band together to survive in a fresh new variation of The Lands Between, called Limveld. The aim is to survive for three days, with all the players facing an ultimate boss, the Nightlord, on the last night.

Furthermore, one of the best parts about the game is how FromSoftware chooses your character for you. Elden Ring Nightreign offers 8 different pre-determined characters with different abilities and weapon sets to suit different playstyles of the players. These are called the Nightfarers.

Elden Ring Nightreign will be officially released on 30th May, 2025, and available on PC, Xbox One/Series S/Series X, and PlayStation 4/5.
