has uploaded a video showcasing what Red Dead Redemption 2 would look like if it were created using Unreal Engine 5. Of course, it’s not a remake per se, but rather a reshade preset that reimagines how the game’s visuals would be updated by switching from Rockstar’s RAGE engine to Unreal Engine 5.

While the difference in visuals isn’t exactly massive, considering how powerful the RAGE engine is and how gorgeous the original game already looks, it’s still interesting to see the little things that would’ve changed had Rockstar developed the game on Unreal Engine. One thing that would’ve been undoubtedly massive with this change would be the game’s size and system requirements.

What’s hilarious is that PC players can update the visuals of Red Dead Redemption 2 by simply applying reshade presets and mods while console players are still playing the game locked at 30fps, even though the consoles are more than capable of running it at 60fps. Even though the Red Dead Redemption remaster received a 60fps update on PS5, it seems like the company has no intentions of doing so for the sequel.
