The Texas Chainsaw Massacre deserves more attention. Mechanically, it puts a smart, sinister spin on Dead By Daylight, pitting multiple survivors (or, as the game refers to them, 'victims') against a trio of killers, each of them outfitted with unique, sometimes complementary abilities. More significantly, developer Gun goes to great lengths to capture the visuals and atmosphere of the original 1974 movie - if film-to-game adaptations have a reputation for being low-effort cash ins, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is up there with notable exceptions like Alien Isolation. Now, just shy of two years since it was released, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is finished. Developer Gun says the game has reached its "full potential."
