Frequent readers may remember that we’ve covered the Methods series extensively over the past year or so. And if you’ve been intrigued by this stylish, ‘ugly cute’ detective visual novel, then you’ll be pleased to know that you can soon get all of the chapters in a single release!

Methods: Complete Edition is, as you might expect, a complete single purchase of the entire 100 chapters and bonus DLC in Methods. The story of the series sees 100 detectives pitted against criminals to solve so-called perfect crimes. The prize? $1 million in cash, and if the criminals win, an unconditional pardon.

With its mix of stylish visuals that may bring to mind something like Danganronpa, Methods has its tongue firmly in its cheek. But at the same time, it offers quick and accessible mysteries for you to solve in bite-sized chapters, often introducing new and interesting characters as you go.

Methods in the madness

The Methods series is one which really sells itself on the concept of those 100 detectives, and meeting them throughout the series. And while this can lead to shallow gameplay in some places, if Jack’s review of the first chapter was anything to go by, it’s well worth your time if visual novels and crime thrillers are your thing.
