The 560-page hardcover of The Devils isn’t technically labeled a “deluxe edition,” but publisher Tor Books included a few flourishes often seen in collectible editions. The ****** dust jacket features a skull with candles for horns. One cool small detail is how the letters in the title are burning from the flames. Removing the jacket reveals a cover with an ornate red border and a pentagram imprinted in the center. Nodding to the themes, the cover art makes The Devils look like an occult book used to summon demons.

When you open the front and back covers, you’ll find full-color portraits. In addition to the endpaper portraits, you’ll find an annotated, two-page map with lots of little details, including character sketches and buildings that appear throughout the adventure. Full-page pencil illustrations of characters are included at the start of at least some of the chapters.
