Ord River triple Warmun’s goal count to take round three win

The Ord River Magpies recorded a resounding victory against the Warmun Eagles at the weekend as East Kimberley Football League teams battled it out in round three.

The top-of-the-table team tripled the Warmun Eagles goal count as the two teams went head-to-head at the Kununurra Showground on May 9.

The Eagles struggled to keep up with the Magpies, kicking just four goals over the course of the match and handing Ord River the win, 12.8 (80) to 4.5 (29).

Having won their last two games Ord River now sit atop the ladder while the Warmun Eagles are last.

Elsewhere, the Port Wyndham Crocs took down the Waringarri Crows at Kununurra Oval on May 9.

The Crows put up a good fight, but the Crocs proved to be the more skilful side taking home a decent win, 13.10 (88) to 10.3 (63).

The Crocs sit in second place on the ladder after recording two wins and one loss so far this season while the Crows sit just under them in third place, recording one win and one loss.

The Kununurra Demons, who sit in fourth place on the ladder, had a bye this week but will return for round four to face the Waringarri Crows at Kununurra Oval on May 23.
