Meteor Showers and ***** Tornados are Planetary Hazards in Helldivers 2. With the release of the 01.000.100 Patch, a new group of Environmental Conditions has been introduced to the game, called Planetary Hazards. They add a certain randomness to the game and another thing that Helldivers have to watch out for.
