At the time of writing, it is still being determined if there is a method to encounter flying enemies in Helldivers 2. That said, a recent

user named “Litnos” of the Helldivers community explained he was on Fenrir III on difficulty 5.

Litnos mentions, “We had the obscured minimap modifier. It’s a side objective called “shrieker lair,” like the stalker.” I personally haven’t encountered this objective just yet, but I am working diligently to make it happen.

If you want the most luck when fighting flying bugs in Helldivers 2, your best bet is to choose a **** that can get rounds off quickly. When watching a

, you can tell that Shriekers don’t have much health but can sometimes come in packs to aggressively ******* you. This means you want to be able to **** them down fast with a spray of bullets.

I recommend choosing the classic AR-23 Liberator or SG-225 Breaker shotgun. The former has a ***** rate of 640 and is excellent at taking out annoying smaller-sized enemies, which looks perfect for flying bugs. The SG-225 Breaker shotgun is a fully automatic shotgun with great damage that can shred through packs of enemies with a few rounds.

Depending on your playstyle, you may choose defensive strategies over offensive strategies or vice versa. This section will share our picks for the best strategems to deal with flying bugs for both playstyles.

Remember, when choosing a strategem for flying bugs, you must also consider the other enemies you’ll be dealing with during the match.

If you are an offensive player, you should choose Orbital Laser, Eagle Cluster *****, and Eagle Smoke Strike to deal with flying bugs.

Orbital Laser is the number one offensive strategy for dealing with medium sized bugs. The way it works is simple: You call down a laser that tracks and attacks enemies nearby. If you are swarmed by flying enemies, using the Orbital Laser can be all you need to defeat them all in one fell swoop.

The Eagle Cluster ***** is also a good choice since it is fantastic at clearing medium targets. Calling an Eagle Cluster ***** causes your ship to drop a line of explosives, dealing with both medium-sized ground enemies and flying ones.

The Eagle Smoke Strike is a good choice against flying Shriekers because it can help you gain distance from them. Calling down a smoke strike will ****** nearby enemies, allowing you to escape to safety. This will throw the Shriekers off, allowing you to take them out without them noticing you.

If you are more of a defensive player and use supply options, you’ll have the best bet choosing “Guard Dog” Rover and the Shield Generator Pack strategems.

The Rover Guard Dog calls down a ****** with a laser, which targets any ****** that comes close to you. This means it will focus on flying bugs when they swoop in for the *******, making them much more manageable to deal with.

The Shield Generator Pack simply gives you a shield. A shield means you won’t take damage when an ****** attacks you from the rear, and since flying bugs can come out of nowhere, this can be a lifesaver as it will protect you from taking damage.

Using defensive strategems when completing an objective or extracting from the map has become the standard within the Helldivers community. If flying enemies spawn during these situations, you want to ensure you have the Gatling Sentry or Tesla Tower.

The Gatling Sentry is one of the best sentry for any ****** in Helldivers 2, and works exceptionally well against enemies that travel in packs. Put a Gatling Sentry down when you feel overwhelmed by flying enemies, and you’ll notice just how quickly they all get defeated.

The Tesla Tower is underappreciated, but it is one of the best defensive Strategems in Helldivers 2 to deal with small and medium sized enemies. Go prone near the Tesla Tower and have the tower do all the work to defeat flying bugs as they attempt to swoop in and do damage.
