Is Helldivers 2 Cross Platform?

With Helldivers 2’s massive success, more people than ever are looking at the cooperative shooter in a bid to help Super Earth take control of the galaxy through any means possible! But is the game available on multiple systems? Is Helldivers 2 cross platform?

Helldivers 2 is cross-platform, with fully supported versions on PC and PlayStation 5; however, it’s somewhat limited in scope. As it’s the same ecosystem, you can easily group up and play with anyone from either system, but if you own the game on both systems, your progress does not carry over between the two.

That said, Arrowhead is supposedly working on it for a future update. We may end up with the ability to progress a single character, which is excellent for those who want their favorite bug-slaying game on every system in the home!

As of this writing, Helldivers 2 is only available on PC and PlayStation 5. There were rumors online about the third-person shooter coming to Xbox systems, but it’s unlikely at this time. That’s not to say impossible, though.

Just look at the recent moves Xbox is making to release their first-party titles on PlayStation and Nintendo systems. Perhaps we’ll get lucky, and PlayStation will follow suit!
