Driver ‘intentionally’ sideswipes motorcycle on Hwy 26 before fleeing

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Beaverton police say they are investigating a road rage/hit-run incident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle that took place on Hwy 26 between Highway 217 and Cedar Hills Boulevard on Monday morning.

According to authorities, the driver of a blue late-model Kia Carnival “sideswiped the motorcycle, causing the rider to lose control. The driver of the Kia then fled the scene.”

Investigators believe that the actions of the driver of the Kia were “intentional.” The driver of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

“The driver of the Kia has been described as a white, male, adult, approximately 30-40 years of age, with a ****** beard,” police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Beaverton police.

This was one of two major crashes on Hwy 26 on Monday.
