Department of Fire and Emergency Services crews were called to the property on Morgan Way just after 3pm on Saturday. St John WA treated two people at the scene for smoke inhalation. It is understood the fire started outside on the patio and spread inside via the kitchen. About 90 per cent of the home was smoked logged and 10 per cent of the property fire-damaged. Crews contained the blaze by 3.30pm. A DFES spokeswoman said it continued to see an increase in fires caused by lithium-ion batteries. So far this year, more than 25 fires have been sparked by lithium-ion batteries. Camera IconThe house was damaged by fire and smoke-logged.
