When Vi Do was just 15, he left his rice farm in a remote rural area of Vietnam and arrived in the capital Hanoi to find work as a shoe shine boy, living on the streets. It’s the path thousands of children take every year to try to make money for their families back home – but it often leaves them vulnerable to human trafficking. An *********** teacher found Vi and helped him get back into school — and later formed Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation. Twenty years later, Vi is now co-CEO of the foundation, where he tries to help other street kids get back into education and find a better future.
