Forrestfield: Teen’s scooter stolen at McDonald’s before man pulls knife on boy

Detectives are on the hunt for a man who threatened a teenage boy with a knife before stealing his e-scooter at a Forrestfield McDonald’s last month.

CCTV has been released in a bid to catch the armed robber after a 16-year-old boy was threatened about 5.35am on Saturday, February 15.

Police said the teen was a ordering at the Hale Road fast food restaurant when the accused — believed to be aged in his 30s — opportunistically took the boy’s scooter.

Footage shows the teen — and another person — start giving chase before the man dumps the scooter and pulls a knife on the pair.

They retreat in fear before the man retrieves the scooter and rides away.

Midland detectives are seeking information from the public as they try and identify the man.

“He is described as being aged in his mid-30s, of a medium build with tanned skin, a distinctive ****** moustache and short ****** hair in a buzzcut hairstyle,” a police spokeswoman said.
