Frieren is an elven mage who was a former member of the celebrated party that took down the ****** King and restored peace to the land. Flash forward 50 years and not much has changed for Frieren, but some of those companions have since passed and a new journey begins to unfold. Yamada and Abe’s manga has been serialized in the pages of Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine since April 2020. 2021 saw it win the 14th Manga Taisho award, as well as the 25th annual Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize’s award for new creators.
