One of those people is the researcher Samin, whose particular area of interest is Endemic Life. At some point, Samin will grant you the first of his questline: "Samin's Research Report," which tasks you with tracking down a Dapperwing in the Scarlet Forest. After you complete it, along with a similar research quest for Dareel, Samin will grant you "Samin's Research Report (Cont)," the second part of the quest.
