It took veterinarians at the San Diego Humane Society’s Ramona Wildlife Center 153 days to nurse a little fox to health. He was brought in with traumatic burn wounds on his paws caused by the Airport Fire, which burned 23,526 acres of land in September and October of 2024. The fox was slowly transitioned from around the clock medical care inside the clinic to an outdoor enclosure, before release.
