NRL legend’s son accused of suppling drugs interstate, court told

The son of rugby legend ‘Lord Ted’ Goodwin remains in custody on allegations that he was part of a large scale drug supply operation

It is alleged that Grayson Goodwin supplied a multitude of drugs including ******** and MDMA.

He faces 11 charges pertaining to his possession of 692g of MDMA, 10kg of Ketamine and 1548g of methylamphetamines as well as alleged plans to supply.

Mr Goodwin also allegedly possessed 1kg of meth, as well ********, ephedrine and $151,000 in cash according to court documents.

Mr Goodwin did not appear in Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday, however a two week adjournment was requested to finalise the facts granted.

The next case conference mention will be on March 18 2025

The son of the St George Illawarra Dragon’s great ‘Lord Ted’, was arrested by police on November 10 2023 in Cronulla.

He was arrested over allegations he participated in a criminal group along with his co-accused, Simone Fisher.

It is alleged by police that Ms Fisher knowingly participated in a criminal group and made $2500 from criminal activities

Neither Mr Goodwin nor Ms Fisher appeared before the court on their matters following their arrests and the former did not apply for release on bail.

No pleas were entered by either individual in relation to the multitude of their alleged drug-related charges.

Mr Goodwin’s father played rugby for the St George Illawarra Dragons between 1972 and 1978.

He played in three first grade Grand Finals and went on to play for the Newtown Jets and the Western Suburb Magpies.

‘Lord Ted’ was then a graded referee in Perth until 2001 before moving to south Sydney.
