Award-winning Georgie Carroll to headline Comedy in the Park at Ord Valley Muster 2025

Nurse-turned-comedian Georgie Carroll will headline Comedy in the Park at the Ord Valley Muster.

She is expected to bring the belly laughs fresh from her internationally successful stand-up show “Sista Flo 2.0”, which sold out at Edinburgh Fringe Festival and won her the Best Comedy Award at the Adelaide Fringe.

Carroll will be joined at Celebrity Tree Park by Nova FM regular Ben Knight, who has appeared in TV shows Upper Middle ****** and Offspring and recently played the villain, Dressler, in the film The Fall Guy with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.

A comedian closer to home will be Darwin-based Amy Hetherington, winner of the 2023 Best Comedy Show at Fringe World Perth.

Stand-up veteran Mick Meredith, who has appeared on numerous TV shows, including The Footy Show and the Comedy Channel, will also perform.

Ord Valley Events chair Sophie Cooke said Comedy in the Park was always a standout in the Muster program, and this year’s line-up promised to be a fun night full of laughs.

“The volunteer-led Ord Valley Events board works tirelessly year-round to deliver a spectacular 10-day festival that kicks off the tourism season.

“This year’s program is something we’re incredibly proud of, offering unforgettable experiences that are sure to be bucket-list worthy— so come and join us,” she said.

Comedy in the Park is a part of Kununurra’s Ord Valley Muster, which will be held from May 16 to 25.

The festival showcases a number of Indigenous events, including Art in the Park, the Cultural Full Day Tour at El Questro, Art, Culture & Cuisine, the Waringarri Arts Experience and Corroboree Under The Stars.

The main festival event is the Kimberley Moon Experience, which this year will see indie-pop duo Lime Cordiale perform along with alternative pop folk musician Thelma Plum and *********** music great Mark Seymour and The Undertow.
