The official poster of GTA 6, one of the most eagerly anticipated video games of the last few years, has been shared numerous times on social media. However, the same act has created ripples in the gaming and entertainment community after being done by John Cena.

account in a cryptic post, which has opened a can of peculiar theories about what it could possibly mean. Here's my take on the incident and why GTA fans (myself included) should not get too hyped up about it.

John Cena's GTA 6 post is more of a meme than a leak

There's always a chance for someone like John Cena to be featured in a game like GTA 6. The wrestler has already acted in a fair number of movies, and we have seen plenty of actors being part of video games. If there's one publisher who can afford someone of Cena's stature, it has to be Rockstar. Getting Cena in GTA 6 might be the "most GTA 6 thing" possible.

However, the post could be more about a popular meme, which incidentally refers to how long we have been waiting for Rockstar to release GTA 6. We are yet to get a confirmed launch window, although it should be in 2025 (unless there are delays). Yet, it's been a long time since we had GTA 5, and many things have happened in the world since.





In fact, fans have often used the term "we got... before GTA 6", which again highlights how patient they have been. There are plenty of memorable memes about global events that few would have expected to happen. Yet, they did, and before the world could dive into

I firmly believe that Cena's recent post refers to his heel turn, which shocked me. In his own way, this is him saying "We got a John Cena Heel Turn before GTA 6". Few would have seen this move coming into the start of 2025, as many had expected to bid adieu to professional wrestling.





Hence, it's best to hold on to your horses for now, and I will not think anything more unless I see my favorite baby face (or ex-baby face) being shown in the game's second trailer. While the possibility is always open, it's safe to think otherwise, at least for now. That said, I am eagerly hoping that Rockstar will release the game as early as possible in 2025 so we can lay down the "We got XYZ before GTA 6" meme template to a well-deserved rest.
