“AI is truly going to be for all. It’s not a few big companies that are going to dominate everything. // The great profiteer of AI is going to be the little man and AI will be a million times better for the same price 30 years from now. And everybody is going to profit greatly from that. // “95% of A.I. research, are really about making human lives longer and easier and healthier because these companies want to sell you something and you are going to buy only stuff where you think it’s good for you. So there is a tremendous commercial pressure towards good A.I.” // “It is true that 5% of A.I. research are not about making human lives easier. No, they are about military research. And you cannot stop it because you cannot tell the guys in Ukraine, for example, stop working on A.I. for your drones to improve your situation against the aggressor. And of course, the Russians are not going to change their own policies in the same way.”

While AI has already made significant strides in digital fields like gaming and document processing, Schmidhuber acknowledged its current limitations in the physical world.

Schmidhuber highlighted that most AI research is aimed at improving human life, particularly in healthcare and automation, although military interests also play a role.

Jurgen Schmidhuber is a leading ******* computer scientist known for his work in artificial intelligence, particularly in neural networks. Schmidhuber is best known for developing long short-term memory (LSTM), a key technology in natural language processing, and for his contributions to dynamic neural networks, meta-learning, and generative adversarial networks.

MWC, hosted at the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona, will run until Thursday (March 6). Organizers hope to exceed last year’s 101,000 visitors, with a strong focus on cutting-edge developments in 5G and AI.
