Rahim Johnson, 43, has been charged with murdering Victoria Lee, 26, who had been reported missing on Jan. 30. Her body was found by police on Feb. 25. During a police interview, Johnson admitted arguing with Lee on Jan. 24 and alleged she cut him with a knife. He said he attempted to stop her but because he was “out of it,” he was unsure if he had something to “do with it or not,” the affidavit of probable cause states. Once Johnson said he “came to,” Lee was dead so he hid her under the bed and took her cell phone and used it along with her banking apps, the court document states. The criminal complaint indicates an electrical cord was used to strangle Lee. On Jan. 30 Lee’s father reported her missing to the Plainsboro Police Department. Her father reported last seeing his daughter at her Plainsboro home on Jan. 24 and that his daughter’s boyfriend, Rahim “Yak-Qui” P. Johnson also lived at the home. Lee’s father said he last saw Johnson at the home on Jan. 25, the affidavit of probable cause states. After Lee was reported missing, several people told police they had received text messages from her requesting money through Zelle and Cash App accounts. Lee’s bank records show transactions made in Trenton during the time Lee was missing including up until Feb. 25 when her body was found by police.
