, Hidetaka Miyazaki engaged in a conversation revealing how he felt about the number of bosses in the first Dark Souls 3 DLC, stating-

“I don’t think Friede was a weak boss either. As for her, she should have been one of several bosses, but I think she lacked the “thickness” to be the only orthodox boss in the first DLC. In any case, this story is a point of honest reflection for us, and we will be conscious of this point of reflection as much as possible in the second DLC.”

Miyazaki mentions how Friede, one of the two bosses present in the DLC, was formidable in her own right, and how there should have been more bosses made available apart from her for the players to ****** against.
