Karen Huger, an original cast member of “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” was sentenced to two years in prison on Wednesday for driving under the influence of alcohol and other driving violations, capping a twisting tale that put her sobriety and recovery at the center of the reality television show. Alcohol is regularly consumed at social events and small gatherings on the show, but Ms. Huger, who is known informally as the Grande Dame of Potomac, was not filmed drinking this season. However, she entered a treatment facility in January for “taking antidepressants and drinking,” according to a short video message that was played for her castmates.
