The process of downloading the game on consoles is pretty much similar to PC. On your Xbox, go to the game's page.

• Select the edition you want to purchase.
• Once you've purchased the game, you'll get the option to load your game.
• Complete the download process, which will automatically start the installation part.

• Open your Library from the Home Screen.
• Pick Monster Hunter Wilds.
• You'll find an option to preload the game on the left-hand side of the screen.
• Just wait for the download to finish, and you should be good to go.

Do note that the pre-load should be available on all available platforms as of February 25. If you don't have the option after purchasing the game, make sure to restart Steam/console once for it to appear.
