Pinjar scrub fires: Emergency services seeking help from the public in investigation into suspicious fires

Arson officers have launched a public appeal to help find information on the suspicious scrub fires in the Pinjar Pine Plantation.

The first fire began about 8am on Sunday on Shrike Road, followed by a second fire on Water Road and a third on Pigeon Road.

Over 2ha of vegetation was burnt, and it is believed the first fire was started by a parachute flair and the other two by tyres being set alight.

Strike Force Vulcan officers are urging anyone with mobile or dash-cam footage of the area between 8am and 9am to upload it
