Pokémon Go Tour: Unova’s global leg will see the debuts of ****** Kyurem and White Kyurem with new Adventure Effects

• ****** Kyurem’s Freeze Shock makes wild Pokémon easier to catch
• White Kyurem’s Ice Burn simplifies landing Excellent Throws
• Use the Tour Pass to boost your earnings

The legendary ****** Kyurem and White Kyurem are finally making their debut during the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova – Global. Alongside their arrival, both have brand-new Adventure Effects that can help you catch Pokémon outside of battle. Be sure to take advantage of the Tour Pass to maximise your earnings as well.

****** Kyurem’s Freeze Shock casts electrically charged ice for 10 minutes, preventing wild Pokémon from moving and making them easier to catch. White Kyurem’s Ice Burn slows the target ring during encounters, helping you land Excellent Throws. You can extend both effects by 10-minute increments, up to two hours at a time and a total of 24 hours.

During the event, you can face ****** Kyurem and White Kyurem in five-star raids to collect Fusion Energy. After fusing Zekrom or Reshiram with a Kyurem that knows Glaciate, Freeze Shock or Ice Burn will replace Glaciate. The moves will revert to Glaciate when the Pokémon are separated. Keep in mind that Kyurem can’t currently learn these moves via Charged TM or Elite Charged TM.

You’ll also choose between two event badges – ****** Version (Reshiram) or White Version (Zekrom). In the former, Kyurem encountered after defeating ****** Kyurem will know Glaciate, and you’ll receive Reshiram-themed Special Research rewards. The latter grants Zekrom-themed Special Research rewards, with Kyurem encountered after defeating White Kyurem also knowing Glaciate.

For better progression, you can make use of the Tour Pass, which unlocks rewards and boosts your Adventure Effects. Collect Tour Points by catching Pokémon, completing raids, and hatching Eggs, or speed up your progress with quick Pass Tasks. Each Major Milestone boosts your Catch XP and extends the duration of Freeze Shock or Ice Burn.

Finally, you can upgrade to the Tour Pass Deluxe for maximum bonuses. This paid version grants you an immediate encounter with Victini, more event-themed encounters, an avatar item, and the new Lucky Trinket. The Lucky Trinket is a one-time-use item that lets you become Lucky Friends with someone from your Friend List, improving your next trade.
