Pedestrian killed in pick-up truck ******

A pedestrian has died in a ****** involving a pick-up truck in the early hours of the morning.

Emergency services were called to the B6412 in Temple Sowerby, near Penrith in Cumbria, at about 00:23 GMT after reports of ****** involving a white pick-up truck.

The pedestrian, a man in his 30s from the Eden area, was declared dead at the scene.

Cumbria Police said a man and a woman, both in their 50s, had been arrested in connection with the ****** and remained in custody.

The force is asking anyone who witnessed or has dashcam footage of the ****** to come forward.
