The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development said the shark knocked the paddler off their kayak about 8.51am in Blackwall Reach area. The paddler was not hurt. It is understood that the East Fremantle Yacht Club cancelled any sailing after the shark attack. DPIRD officers and staff from other agencies are monitoring the situation and will update accordingly. What to do: If you see a shark, report it to Water Police on 9442 8600. All shark sighting information reported to Water Police is provided to land managers and relevant authorities and to the public on the SharkSmart website, SharkSmart WA app and @SLSWA on X.
