Pennsylvania Game Commission captures fox after Stroud Township attack

A fox will be tested for rabies after an attack in Stroud Township.

According to Stroud Area Regional Police Department, the department responded to Congdon Avenue for a report of a fox attack on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

The fox was later captured by the Pennsylvania Game Commission and is being sent off to be tested for rabies.

A red fox eyes visitors to Wildlife Prairie Park at 3826 N. Taylor Road in Hanna City.

Police believe that the fox may have had encounters with other residents in the surrounding areas of Howell Terrace, Clause Drive and Hillcrest Drive. Anyone who may have had direct contact with the fox is urged to report the incident to the Northeast Regional Office of the Game Commission by calling 833-742-4868.
