What is the Attila meaning for Severance Season 2 Episode 6?

The title Attila for Severance Season 2 Episode 6 is actually a reference to Attila the Hun, who ruled over the Huns for nearly 20 years from the year 434-453. So what does that have to do with Severance? Well, it has more to do with the relationship between two characters in the show: Burt and his partner Fields.

After an encounter between Burt and Irving in Season 2 Episode 5 titled *******'s Horse, the two met for ham alongside Burt's husband Fields. During introductions, Fields—

Noticing a confused Irving, Burt immediately explains that early on in their relationship they used to call each hunter "Hon", an endearing term that is short for honey, and a common "nickname" between two people in a relationship. As Burt would explain it, that eventually turned to them calling each other Attila. This is clearly a play on words of the word "Hon", referencing Attila the Hun (or Attila the Hon, jokingly).

Interestingly, Attila the Hun was known for his military conquest across Europe and the Roman Empire, and earned the nickname the "Scourge of God" due to wide-spread destruction and brutality against his enemies as he expanded the Hun Empire.

While this could just be irrelevant information in the scope of Severance and specifically the title of Season 2 Episode 6, it may also be somewhat of a nod to Burt, who admits to Irving that he "used to be a bit of a scoundrel", and references that one of his regions for joining Lumon is that he and Fields feel as though Burt's soul is destined for Hell after death based on his earlier actions in life.

Furthermore, dialogue in a show like Severance always serves a purpose. As Irving leaves, Burt tells Irving that Fields memory "gets fuzzy at times" before referencing him claim that Burt has worked at Lumon for 20 years, despite Severance technology not being that old. It's quite possible Burt is a long-time employee of Lumon, and may have some ulterior motive with Irving.
