On Friday, Feb. 14, a dog was found in the parking lot of a Meijer grocery store in Kent County, Mich. with a handwritten note in a plastic bag tied to her collar. “My name is Rukey. Please help me, take me home,” the message read.

Rukey, described as a “sweet” dog with a “gentle personality,” has already charmed the staff.
