Hateful graffiti was sprayed on a school in Maroubra and at a shopping centre in Eastgardens, while two homes were also targeted last month. NSW Police believe all the incidents are linked. On January 30, officers were called to multiple locations in Sydney’s east following reports of malicious damage. Police went to a school on Runic Lane, Maroubra, a nearby home on Hannan Street and the Eastgardens shopping centre on Bunnerong Road, where they found multiple forms of anti-Semitic graffiti. On the same day officers were called to a home on Sparks Street, Eastlakes, where they found more anti-Semitic graffiti. The investigation was taken over by the NSW Police anti-Semitism taskforce, Strike Force Pearl. The passenger in the car is described as being a man of Caucasian appearance, with a thin build who was last seen wearing a blue jumper with an orange liner, a white medical mask, dark pants and brown shoes. The driver is described as having a large build and was last seen wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap.
