during the 2025 DICE Summit in Las Vegas that NetEase has been in discussions with Nintendo for a while and that the team has been working on some development kits.

Additionally, Wu claimed that technical limitations that made the game unplayable on Nintendo’s system were the reason Marvel Rivals was not released on the original Switch, which was “the first generation of that device.”

Wu did say that the developers would be willing to work on the Switch 2 if it could give players excellent performance in NetEase’s games. Given that Nintendo submitted a patent demonstrating the Switch 2’s Joy-**** controllers’ mouse-like capabilities, games like Marvel Rivals that require quick mouse movements might find use for it.
