Elizabeth Pearce revealed as woman killed in Dalkeith car ****** on Saturday night

The woman killed in a horror Dalkeith car ****** on the weekend has been revealed as Perth woman Elizabeth Pearce.

Flowers were being laid on Monday at the site of the tragedy on Birdwood Parade, close to the Nedlands War Memorial in one of Perth’s most exclusive residential locations.

Several people stopped by the memorial to leave flowers, and messages and pay their respects to Ms Pearce, who studied at the University of Western Australia and once attended Mosman Park’s prestigious St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls.

The only physical markings of the incident left were police paint markings on the road setting out the ******, sand on the road to cover spilled oil and a large tyre divot in the grass next to the curb.

Police could also be seen on Monday morning on Birdwood Parade checking the speeds of drivers on the road. It is understood some tickets were handed out.

The 24-year-old Ms Pearce was in a rideshare vehicle on Saturday night when the Honda Jazz was allegedly struck by a Jaguar being driven at 130km an hour in the 50km/hr zone by Perth obstetrician Rhys Henry Stone Bellinge.

Ms Pearce died of her injuries and the car’s 25-year-old driver was rushed to hospital, where he remains.

Dr Bellinge, who has been charged with manslaughter and dangerous driving, allegedly had a blood alcohol reading of 0.183.

In 2018 Ms Pearce was named in The West *********** as having received a certificate of distinction for her school results.
