72-year-old man dies in overturned vehicle ****** on interstate 64 in Virginia Beach

Virginia State Police investigate single vehicle ****** in Norfolk, which has resulted in a fatality.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A man died following a ****** involving an overturned vehicle on Interstate 64 on Feb. 16, 2025.

At approximately 9:17 a.m., state police received reports of an overturned 2015 Honda CR-V at the Military Highway exit ramp, near mile marker 281.

Troopers arrived to find the vehicle partially submerged in water.

The driver, identified as 72-year-old Fidel Enerva Villaluna, was transported to Norfolk Sentara General Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Villaluna ran off the roadway, leading to the ******. Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors.
