Tears of Themis is bringing Dunhuang culture to life in the Ballad of the Dunes event

• Tears of Themis has collaborated with Culture & Tourism in Gansu Province, China
• Content inspired by the Silk Road will be featured throughout the event

Tears of Themis has launched a special collaboration event called Ballad of the Dunes, in partnership with Culture & Tourism in Gansu Province, China. Drawing inspiration from the Silk Road and Dunhuang’s cultural heritage, this limited-time event introduces new MR cards and an exclusive Namecard, immersing you in a story set against a backdrop of ancient history.

Tears of Themis’ Ballad of the Dunes event runs from February 13th to 20th, letting you earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other rewards by completing tasks. Camel Bells can be used to flip cells and unlock various prizes, including the Ballad of the Dunes MR cards. 

With four rounds to complete, you can choose one of the new MR cards as your final reward each time. Once you’ve flipped 100 cells, you’ll also receive the Celebration Dunes Namecard. The new MR cards showcase the four male leads in designs inspired by Dunhuang’s artistic traditions.

Luke’s “In the Footsteps of Silk,” Artem’s “Serenade of the Soul,” Vyn’s “Reverberation Through Time,” and Marius’ “Void of Creation” feature motifs from Silk Road history, including flying apsaras and the pipa played behind the back, an iconic image from Dunhuang murals. Even their Private Messages carry forward the storytelling with several cultural exchanges between characters.
