breaker Rachael Gunn experienced a whirlwind six months in the wake of her infamous performance at Paris 2024, initially becoming the subject of intense scrutiny and ridicule, before later winning over the love of the world.

She may not have scored a single point in any of her breaking battles at the Olympics, but Raygun came out the real winner as a result of her disastrous performance, with brands, sponsors and lucrative opportunities all coming her way thereafter.

But she had been keeping a low profile in recent months, having not posted a thing on her

since early December.

The 37-year-old has been thrust back into the spotlight though, with vision of her taking a tumble onstage at a Sydney nightclub going viral.

In the video, Raygun appears to be putting on an impromptu breaking performance at a drag show, during which she loses her balance and falls onto the edge of the stage.

She quickly got up and seemed OK, but the tumble did nothing to help her reputation as a dancer.

It’s the first time we’ve seen or heard from Raygun since her lawyers stepped in to cancel a musical set to be based on her Olympics performance.

Raygun: The Musical was set to debut in Sydney on December 7, but on the morning of the show,

The parody musical, written and starring Aussie comedian Steph Broadbridge, intended to retell the story of Raygun’s Olympic journey, which spawned countless imitations on social media.

Raygun and Broadbridge came to an agreement where the show will go on under the new name of Breaking The Musical, but there was a storm over a proposed $10,000 demand.

Anthony Skinner, owner of iD Comedy Club in Darlinghurst, where the show was set to run, leaked the terms of the legal letter he received.

“You will reimburse our client with legal costs to date which we estimate to be $10,000,” the letter said, as well as demanding that the show be cancelled and proof of evidence that the show had been cancelled.

Skinner couldn’t believe his eyes when he received the $10,000 letter.

However, Raygun said she and her team are not seeking any money and that was only for any potential court costs.

“Hi everyone, it’s been a big couple of weeks,” she began in a

.

“I’m not going to lie, it’s been a wild ride but I’m really pleased to say we’ve resolved everything.

“My team’s been working with Steph’s team, and we’ve managed to come to an agreement and resolved everything.

“She still gets to go ahead with the musical, she’s got a new name, new poster, and she still gets to take that show on the road. So I’m really happy for her and I wish her all the best with the show and with the tour.

“We have not sought any costs from all this. So there’s a lot of talk around this $10,000 … that was from really early on, like day one, my lawyers were acting on my behalf.

“They sent out letters, and you know, they asked for a response … by a certain time, they didn’t hear a response. And you know, we were worried that we might have to go to court.

“Obviously, no one wants that, and so the $10k was would just be my potential legal costs if we had to go to court. But fortunately, we didn’t.

“We’re not seeking any costs, I’ve said before it’s not about the money, and it is still not about the money. We’ve got no costs from them, not from Steph, not from the comedy club.

“In our view, it’s all resolved. It’s not going to be any more legal proceedings from us. It’s an intellectual property issue, and now we have put it to bed.”
