Trials of Osiris is a PvP (Player versus Player) game mode where players would form two teams of three players and have a duel against each other. It is the pinnacle of Destiny 2 multiplayer and is only available on weekends. The trials give players the chance to show off their PvP skills so they can obtain some of Destiny’s most exclusive weapons and armor.

Trials of Osiris only attracted higher-level players, given the fact that lower-level players would instantly get crushed in it which made Bungie incorporate several changes in the game mode. The trials span all the way back to Destiny 1 and have had a lot of tweaks throughout the years to give players of all levels an equal chance to win.

As of the latest episode, Episode: Heresy, the trials have significantly increased their loot drop rates, and trios are now guaranteed an Adept weapon upon winning seven times, regardless of whether it is consecutive or not. In previous updates, after winning consecutively players would get a chance to enter the Lighthouse where they can receive exclusive loot like Adept weapons and mods, Trials Memento, Enhancement Prisms, and much more.

With the revamped Trials of Osiris, a lot of new players who previously would not have engaged with the multiplayer aspect of the game at all, have given PvP a chance and they are fairly enjoying it as well. Although the new players are getting thrashed, they are getting significantly better loot now.

Trials of Osiris has some of the best loot drops in the entire game. It has a unique set of weapons, armor sets, shaders, and other cool cosmetics. The new update finally gave a chance to a lot of players to get into the Destiny 2 PvP game mode and get a taste of better loot in the title. Even solo players who enjoy PvE and have avoided PvP entirely for the past few seasons can hold their ground in the trials now.
